Lovr Boys’ Bonita Springs Café Brings Roasting and Baking Under One Roof

Siblings Anna and Caleb Linn pair in-house roasting, scratch baking and a welcoming café in Bonita Springs, with plans to return to Naples.

A café built around its own coffee and kitchen
At Lovr Boys Cafe & Roastery in Bonita Springs, Florida, the roasting room and bakery are part of the café’s daily rhythm. The 2,000-square-foot shop opened in late August, bringing coffee roasting, scratch baking and a 400-square-foot seating area together in one space. For co-owners Anna and Caleb Linn, the arrangement gives customers a view into several parts of the work behind a cup and a meal.

The café’s interior leans into the feeling of a lived-in home. Adirondack-green walls and 17-foot ceilings give the room an airy frame, while wicker pendant lights hang above a butcher-block bar. Potted monstera, bird-of-paradise plants and other greenery soften the space. Checkered handmade Moroccan tile brings in Mediterranean influence alongside the tropical details.
At the bar, the terracotta-colored La Marzocco Linea espresso machine is paired with Mahlkönig grinders. The shop’s signature hearts appear on cups, bags and other items, extending the name and design through the customer experience. The siblings’ mother made the company logo displayed behind the bar, making the family connection visible in the room as well as in the ownership.

Roasting for espresso and the filter cup
Caleb Linn roasts the café’s coffees in an adjoining room on a 15-pound-capacity BC-15 Buckeye Coffee roaster. The beans are fair-trade and organic-certified, and he sources green coffee primarily through InterAmerican Coffee. His stated preference is for certified offerings with chocolatey, sweet and bold profiles that work both black and with milk.
That brief connects the roasting program to the way the café serves coffee: the same profile needs to suit customers who order a straightforward black cup and those who prefer milk-based drinks. Roasting on site also puts production close to the bar, where the coffees are prepared. The shop’s café and roasting identities are therefore tied together through the beans themselves, rather than operating as separate concepts.

Scratch baking rounds out the menu
Anna Linn leads the bakery program, making sourdough bread, pastries, bagels, cinnamon rolls and other items from scratch. Those baked goods join sandwiches and toasts on the menu. The range gives the café several ways to bring its kitchen into the customer’s visit, from a pastry alongside coffee to a more substantial meal.

The bakery grew from Anna’s interest in home baking. She moved that interest into professional work at a local café and also sold cakes online. Caleb’s route into coffee began at a Starbucks in Naples. After moving to Tampa for college, he worked at the independent café Felicitous Coffee, where he came to value the community side of running a café. When he returned to Naples, he began roasting on a small fluid-bed machine inside a local grocery store that had its own café.
Those earlier experiences gave the siblings different starting points for a shared business: Caleb’s work in cafés and roasting, and Anna’s growing bakery practice. In 2022, they decided to work together. The present shop makes both strands part of the same operation, with coffee roasted on site and food prepared in the bakery and kitchen.

A name that reflects the family behind it
The name Lovr Boys came from Anna, inspired partly by song lyrics and partly by the affectionate teasing she directs at her younger brother. “I knew I wanted to have love in the name, and that’s just kind of how it went from there,” she said. “I always call Caleb the Loverboy. He’s a sweetie.”
That warmth also shapes what the siblings want the café to feel like. “We were going for a very cozy home feeling,” Anna told Daily Coffee News. “We want people to feel like we’re inviting them into our home and they’re hanging out and they feel like family and friends.” The plants, handmade tile, family-made logo and heart motif all support that intention, while the café’s coffee and food programs give the hospitality a practical foundation.

The Linns plan to keep growing their wholesale roasting business and are considering more cafés, with Naples a particular focus. The community there was where the business began, and Anna hopes to open a place in the city again within the next two years. “It’s the one that brought us to where we are today, so it’d be cool to start there again,” she said.
For now, Lovr Boys brings that mix of roasting, baking and family hospitality to 9606 Bernpine Court, Unit 115 in Bonita Springs. Its next chapter will build on the same combination: coffee with a defined roasting point of view, food made in house, and a space designed to make a café visit feel personal.
